'Today' Show Recommends Ann Arbor Farmers Market
'Today' show recommends Ann Arbor Farmers Market as a great fall travel destination
During a travel segment on Wednesday's "Today" show on NBC, Joe Diaz from travel magazine Afar Media recommended the Ann Arbor Farmers Market as a destination for a great fall getaway.
"We love farmers markets because they connect you more deeply with the people and the communities in which you're traveling and living, and we really love the Ann Arbor Farmers Market," said Diaz. "Not only is it one of the most colorful and bountiful markets in the United States, but they've got this innovative program called Double Up Food Bucks. It's a program we support because it provides equal access to Michigan's freshest produce for all of its citizens."
Diaz goes on to recommend catching a U-M football game at The Big House, and staying at Avalyn Garden Bed and Breakfast. Other fall destinations mentioned on the show were Asheville, North Carolina; Crested Butte, Colorado; Round Top, Texas; and Beacon, New York.
