Applying for a Loan
You will need to provide the following documentation:
Income:
- Last two years of W-2’s
- Last two years of tax returns
- Most recent 30-60 days of paystubs
- Verification of year-to-date income
- Contact name, phone and email to verify employment
- Please confirm how your company verifies employment.
- If using www.theworknumber.com please provide company code and salary key (obtained from your employer).
Assets:
- Last two months of bank statements (including ALL checking, savings, IRS, 401K, investment accounts, etc.)
- Be sure to provide ALL pages, even the blank ones, from EVERY account.
- If the statements are printed off the Internet, make sure that the printout shows names AND account numbers.
Miscellaneous:
- Copy of driver license – front and back
- Copy of social security card
- Copy of front and back of your green card – if not a U.S. citizen
- Divorce decree, or child support order – if needed
- Application check – check with your loan officer for amount
Application Fee:
- You will be required to pay this at the time of application.
- This fee varies with each lending institution.
- It may or may not include the costs of the appraisal and credit report.
- Be sure to have the lender specify, in writing, exactly what the fee covers and if it is or is not refundable.
